Today, March 9th, Taba Junior High School had it’s first Tabayama English Class (TEC). The students played “basket”, where everyone has a chair except for one person. That one person must say things like “long hair” “men” “Tabayama JHS student” “teacher”. If you match any of those things you must switch seats.
Then the students did Taba JHS show and tell. The students had to choose a room in Taba JHS that they thought was relaxing, exciting, or challenging. Then they had to take a picture and make sentences for their pictures. Here is some of their work.

“ This is the library, we choose because there are a lot of books.”
３月９日（水），全校英語が始まりました。丹波中学校の特色には，iPadを活用した授業，全校登山や全校音楽，地域の方から学ぶ会などがありますが，来年度から全校英語も特色の一つに位置付け開始します。今日はその試行として実施しました。この時間は母語を使わず英語のみとしました。
担当は英語教諭の他，ALTのダルトン，村役場勤務のカシーとカロリンです。先ずは，頭ほぐしです。コミュニケーションづくりです。“Basket”ゲームスタート。

グループに分かれて，指示された内容にふさわしい場所の写真を撮り，全員に説明しました。基礎的な英会話ができるように励んでます。
